Culture
Our aims are to:
• Provide a welcoming, supportive, nurturing, exciting and inclusive experience for those that have dealings with our organisation.
• Engender a spirit of respect for others and ourselves and embrace diversity in its widest context.
• Take personal ownership for ensuring that we strive for excellence in all aspects of our daily responsibilities.

Relationships with clients
Clients are our primary stakeholders and we will seek to:
• Work toward understanding and anticipating what our clients are trying to accomplish and, more importantly, deliver what they truly value and need.
• Empower our clients to be involved in the design of our programmes and encourage co-development of projects with clients/beneficiaries.
• Be clear about our responsibility to our clients, have clear boundaries and not allow clients to become dependent on us.
• Value and respect our clients and provide a non judgemental approach to working with clients.
• Provide a relaxed but highly professional service to our clients.

Relationships between colleagues
Colleagues are essential to our work and we will:
• Work toward understanding and anticipating what our colleagues are trying to accomplish and provide support and consideration to one another’s needs.
• Communicate and interact well with colleagues to unleash the power of teamwork throughout our organisation.
• Respect our colleague’s differences, aim to understand one another’s strengths and weaknesses and make time to help each other when needed.
• Treat one another as we wish to be treated ourselves.

Relationships with all stakeholders

Breathing Space will endeavour to:
• treat each of our clients, customers, associates, partners and other stakeholders with integrity and respect.
• ensure that stakeholders have a fun, productive and positive experience with our organisation.

Environment
Environmental issues are the key to our future and Breathing Space has:
• A caring and aware attitude towards the environment and aims to constantly educate ourselves and others in environmental matters whenever possible.
• A thoughtful and considerate approach towards the method of transportation used in our daily business.
• A policy to purchase environmentally friendly products wherever possible.
• Working practices that encourage recycling, aim to reduce wastage, conserve electricity and water and reuse items wherever possible.
• committed to keep the premises clean, tidy and well maintained to ensure a comfortable working environment for all.

Funding and use of funds
Funding is vital to our organisation and so we try to:
• Develop good relationships with funders, deliver our promises, keep them informed of changes and progress and demonstrate gratitude for support.
• Ensure compliance with the requirements of funders and aim to provide more than expected.
• Generate ideas about ways to save money, ideas for projects, ideas for funding and are not afraid to ask for donations and reduced costs from suppliers or service providers etc.
• Use the funds we are given wisely to benefit our clients.
• Publicise funders, products and services donated to our organisation.

Innovation and future focus
Innovation is the key to our development and Breathing Space will
• Strive to be forward thinking as we plan for change and the future needs of the organisation and the community.
• Recognise innovation, creativity and technology as the key to success and consider ourselves pioneers and innovators in implementing new ideas. We will also develop a spirit of enquiry and strive for ongoing development.
