Glennys Davis (BA Hons) – General Manager. Responsible for the overall day to day mangement of Breathing Space. Glennys’ background is predominantly in senior secretarial provision and translation for research and higher education establishments followed by a change in career into teaching in the Adult Learning sector. She has been with Breathing Space Ltd since 2002. Her qualifications include BA (Hons) in English, French and German, TA101 Transactional Analysis, OCN E-Business Coaching & Mentoring Skills (level 3). Glennys has helped to develop materials to simplify the process of basic business planning (Reading, Writing and Maths for Self Employment, manual and workbook) and has also produced 7C’s for Women into Business, a publication designed to encourage women to explore self employment as an option. Glennys brings to Breathing Space Ltd a professional and leading edge approach to individual development in order to assist and help drive people to develop knowledge and skills to help them overcome very real difficulties, challenges and issues that are barriers to them achieving success in business and enterprise. She has SFEDI accreditation as an enterprise advisor.
Peter Mitchell (Business Studies HND) – Business Coaching & Mentoring Manager. Responsible for the coordination, training and delivery of leading edge business coaching and mentoring support, business consultancy, training and advice & guidance. Peters background has been predominantly in retail and wholesale management (UK and international) and has run his own successful business consultancy, training and coaching business for thirteen years. He has been with Breathing Space Ltd since 2005. His qualifications are Higher National Diploma in Business Studies, Institute of Training & Development Train the Trainer, City & Guilds 7303 teaching qualification in the Adult Learning sector (level4) and holds Approved Tutor Status (level 4) with University of Hull School of Business. Peter brings to Breathing Space Ltd a large range of skills and credible business experience at all levels coupled with a passion and sensitivity in working with a whole range of individuals and groups with different styles, cultures, expectations, needs and goals.
Vicky Goodwin – Self-Employment Advice & Guidance Officer. Responsible for the coordination and administration of the Breathing Space Self-Employment programme and advice & guidance. Vicky’s background has been predominantly in business administration and she has run her own successful business for four years. She has been with Breathing Space Ltd since 1996. Her qualifications are Information, Advice & Guidance (NVQ level 4). Vicky brings to Breathing Space Ltd a passion and desire to work with people ensuring a good start in their business enterprise working towards effective start-up and longer term sustainable results.
Sue Gough – Accounts Officer. Responsible for finance, general administration, reception and supervising work experience trainees. She has been with Breathing Space Ltd since 1989 and has been consistently reliable in her work and seeing the charity develop from the very early years. Her qualifications are RSA Typing levels 1, 2 & 3 along with CLAIT Word Processing. Sue brings to Breathing Space Ltd commitment and a reliability which ensures a constantly efficient and welcoming environment to clients and visitors.
Michelle Woolley – Finance and Project Monitoring Manager. Responsible for project monitoring, administration and management of financial administrative systems. Michelle’s background has predominantly been in business administration and she has run her own successful business for four years. She has been with Breathing Space Ltd since 1996. Michelle brings to Breathing Space Ltd flexibility, commitment, reliability and an unswerving attention to detail keeping the team constantly on their toes!
Bethan Roberts – Project and Outreach Worker. Responsible for research, project definition & monitoring and outreach in the community. Beth’s background has seen her gain a lot of experience working directly with other providers of support and Job Centre’s as a Jobsearch Advisor leading to a very high degree of vocational competency. She is SFEDI accredited as a business advisor. She has been with Breathing Space Ltd since 2002. Beth brings to Breathing Space Ltd an immense ability to network very effectively and persuasively, opening up many new opportunities for Breathing Space and its clients. She has a tenacious and tireless ability to persuade and influence people towards wise decisions for their futures.
Laura Taylor – Administration Officer/Receptionist. The newest member of the team, she has worked in Administration for 18 years and her qualifications are RSA levels 1, 2 and 3, NVQ level 2 in Business Administration and CLAIT. Laura brings to Breathing Space Ltd an attention to detail, an enthusiastic and friendly outlook and provides a welcoming and helpful attitude to clients and visitors. Patrick Scriven - Project Supervisor (Bright Futures). Responsible for leading a horticultural project which employs people with learning disabilities in the community. Patrick has been associated with Breathing Space Ltd since 2003 as a highly valued volunteer mentorand classroom support tutor. His qualifications are OCN E-Business Coaching & Mentoring Skills (llevel 3) and City & Guilds 7303 Teaching qualification in the Adult Learning sector. His personal experience allows him to bring a great deal of empathy to the people that he works with. Patrick also been directly involved in developing and producing the Reading. Writing and Maths for Self-Employment' workbooks.
The Breathing Space Team is also supported by a number of specialist external trainers and consultants who provide expert advice, training and support in a number of specialist business disciplines such as sales & marketing, law, tax & book keeping, insurance, VAT etc.
