E Pod

The Enterprise Pod is an innovative Web based computer system that is designed to enable a wide range of users to explore the possibilities of enterprise and self-employment.

The Enterprise Pod combines innovative software to meet a whole wide-range of needs. It is accessible through standard web internet connections using standard computer hardware from any location. It will also be accessible using specially designed “Kiosks” that provide hardware allowing wheelchair access, Braille keyboard, headphones, touch screen facility and Braille and standard printers.

Although the Enterprise Pod “Kiosk” is for use by everyone, it has been designed to be used easily for those people with challenges such as dyslexia, basic skill needs, sight and hearing impairment and those with mobility issues.

It is designed to help users explore whether self-employment might be a good option for them. It creates an awareness of what is required to become self-employed, helps them to identify strengths and weaknesses in their endeavours to become self-employed and above all, helps them to produce a good quality, realistic Business Plan

Self-Assessment Tool
With the aid of The E-pod the user is taken through a series of simple questions that helps the user explore:their personality traits, likes and dislikes, their reasons for wanting to become self employed and their strengths and weaknesses.

The Business Planner
This section takes the user through a series of very simple tasks and questions that help gain an understanding of what should be included in a business plan. The E-pod automatically formats the answers into a business plan that the user can print off at any point.
