Self Employment Programme
This is the flagship course from Empower Aspire/Breathing Space. It has now run 6 times a year for 20 years and made self employment a reality for hundreds of people and inspired many more in employment and work.
The course is rightly famous for its practical and pragmatic approach. It attracts and supports people from very diferent backgrounds and accomplishments presenting an opportunity for all people to explore enterprise as a very real option to employment.
Open To Everyone
Entry on to the Breathing Space Self-Employment Programme does not have any prerequisites other than a genuine interest and desire to set up a legitimate business.
Modular
The core programme currently funded by Walsall MBC under Worklessness is delivered over a six week period, no more than 15 hours per week. On completion clients will have the tools to put together a sound business plan.
The course is modular and builds as the timetable progresses. Handouts and other information are provided for each session. This course is designed to be a practical guide to prepare the individual for self employment with no need for a qualifcation. It comprises a number of modules under three main headings:
